After a hard, well-earned fight for legalizing gambling and a slow start it finally looks like New Jersey is hitting a good revenue stream.

The month of July signified a change in winds for the state with both poker and casinos in the online domain have registered an increase in revenues. Looking at the past year’s trend, plus the sudden rise in income, it can be predicted that the state is looking at a flourishing future.

July has seen total revenues- from both poker and online casinos, of $12.5mm. Casinos brought in about $10.6mm of that sum, while poker only $1.88mm. Compared to last year, a 24% increase was noticed, which is rather impressive. Poker is another story. The online poker industry has been seeing a drop of 12% year-over-year, but overall the casino industry has seen a 34% increase.
