Georgia next in line to build casino

Voting citizens of Georgia will soon be put on the spot of choosing whether or not they want a casino to be built in their state.

There has been enough momentum building up over the issue in Georgia that proponents are sure to see voters hitting the stamp of approval, or not, concerning the new casino project. A very important plus that the project brings is the opportunity to take casino revenue and invest it in pre-kindergarten programs and the Hope Scholarship that the state government supports.

This past Monday saw legislators in a meeting that discussed the subject of new casinos opening in Georgia and the pros and cons this action would bring. Since state lottery revenues have been in continuous growth and the estimated income for this year is set somewhere at $1 billion, the state is sure to see their schooling programs flourish.

The lottery operators have given a positive vote for the introduction of new casinos in Georgia. “Profits have been good, percentages have been good but at the end of the day, it’s not keeping up with demand,” asserted former chief of staff Chip Lake.

The project as a whole proposes that six new casinos be built on Georgia grounds. Some big gambling resort magnates are already looking to forward their proposals to the Council.

A series of approvals are needed from Senate and House before the bill can get into the hands of the people. Voters from all over Georgia will be given the chance to voice their opinion.
